David Anderson
INDUSTRIAL CEO
David Anderson is a British-born industrial CEO with extensive global experience in packaging and construction materials markets. Having qualified with a first-class Honours degree in the UK, David worked his way through production, engineering and customer-focused leadership roles to hold CEO positions in the UK, Eastern Europe, Middle East, India and sub-Saharan Africa. Anderson brought about numerous turnarounds in both mature and developing markets and established new businesses producing construction materials in several African countries during his time as CEO for Saint-Gobain in Africa. The African Architecture Awards in 2017 was inaugurated under Anderson’s leadership and highlighted new recognition for African architects on the world stage. He retired from corporate life in 2018 to the Western Cape in South Africa. As a champion of world-class manufacturing and customer centricity, he continues to advise several businesses in the construction and industrial sectors. Anderson brings a commercial perspective to our Board to complement our academic strengths.
